("SmartKem" or the "Company") (OTCQB: SMTK), a company seeking to reshape the world of electronics with its disruptive organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) that will drive the next generation of displays, has announced that after further discussion with FINRA, the previously announced one-for-thirty-five (1:35) reverse stock split of the Company's issued and outstanding Common Stock is expected to be effected on September 21, 2023 rather than September 20, 2023, as earlier announced.

The Company's common stock is expected to begin trading on a post-split basis at the market open at 9:30 a.m. on September 21, 2023, under the Company's existing trading symbol "SMTK". The CUSIP number for the common stock following the reverse stock split will be 83193D203.
