The acquisition launches Carta Law—the largest AI-native, integrated legal and compliance solution for private markets—unifying legal and compliance workflows with fund operations on a single platform.

Private capital firms have long operated with fragmented infrastructure, with fund administration, compliance, and legal services spread across separate vendors. Deal teams wait days for NDAs. Limited partner onboarding to new funds is delayed by KYC backlogs. General counsels lose visibility into legal spend or institutional precedent. As deal velocity increases and regulatory complexity grows, this fragmentation becomes a competitive disadvantage and operational barrier for funds.
