The CEO Club London proudly hosted an engaging AI conference on February 27th, bringing together esteemed experts and industry leaders to delve into the present and future of artificial intelligence (AI). The event featured two compelling panels, each offering valuable insights and perspectives on the transformative power of AI in business and beyond.

The conference commenced with a riveting Keynote Address titled "AI: Our Present and What the Future Promises?" The distinguished speakers, Andrew Grill, Actionable Futurist and former IBM Global Managing Partner, and Dr Kennedy from Imperial College London, engaged the audience with thought-provoking discussions on the current landscape of AI and its boundless potential for the future. Panelists mentioned that the AI sprung out in 2023 was long awaited but came earlier than expected. Dr. Kennedy also remarked that AI is developing rapidly which bring both good and bad outcomes. AI helps optimise processes however its pool of capabilities is growing to which we have to adapt and learn how to identify AI generated content without resorting to any detection systems. The keynote address set the stage for an evening of enlightening discourse.

Following the keynote, the conference transitioned into an illuminating Business Panel Talk focused on "How to Increase Business Efficiency and Multiply Income with the Help of AI." The panelists, including Dan Bailey, Vice President and Senior Partner, CTO for Public Sector, Lawrence Turner, AI technology architect, and Dr. Ana Armstrong, Fund manager, founder, and CEO of AIM Cube, shared their expertise and experiences in leveraging AI to enhance business operations and drive revenue growth. The discussion delved into practical strategies, case studies, e.g. Bloomberg using generative AI, and emerging trends in AI adoption across diverse sectors. The speakers marked the growing tendency towards the usage of explanatory AI in business. Moreover, the issues that AI raises were mentioned as well; the so-called trust issues, concerns about data privacy and commercialisation of data sets to be used by AI.

Both panels were moderated by Olyana Gordiyenko Corporate Governance and Compliance Officer at ICU. Guests in attendance included CEO Club London members, business representatives, founders, and diplomats, all of whom actively participated in the enriching dialogue and networking opportunities provided by the conference.
