Around 500 guests from various sectors, and nearly 200 reporters from Chinese and foreign media, participated the event and experienced the hospitality and specialties of Shandong.

Shandong Province is located in eastern China with a large population, developed economy and rich culture. With the event, Shandong hopes to show the world its profound humanistic charm, beautiful and majestic landscapes, delicious and fragrant local specialties. Furthermore, it wishes to express its desire to better integrate to the world and productively cooperate with other parts of the world and to achieve more outstanding development together.

Shandong has a manufacturing industry with a complete system and a solid foundation. High-end equipment serves as the cornerstone of the real economy, making Shandong a strong province in advanced manufacturing.

For example, the world's largest and most multi-functional fish farming platform Guoxin 1, the world's first diesel engine with a thermal efficiency of 52.28%, China's first ski wax truck with complete independent intellectual property rights, the heavy-duty truck Huanghe X7 with ultra-low wind resistance and ultra-high thermal efficiency, all demonstrate the capabilities of Shandong Intelligent Manufacturing.

At the event, various handmade crafts from Shandong became the highlight, such as mechanical clocks and watches made of mahogany and metal ceramics from Zibo city with thousands of years of history, and hairpins combining Chinese tradition and latest fashion.

A series of the latest technologies were also applied to this promotion event. The audience can use digital means such as VR and AR to experience the culture or enjoy the landscape in Shandong in an immersive, multi-dimensional and in-depth way, truly "changing scenery every time you move."

In addition, Zhanhua winter jujube, Changyu wine, Weixian radish, Rushan oysters, many local specialties have been brought to the event, while a wide range consumptions from smart printing equipment to intelligent robots were as well.

In recent years, Shandong has accelerated the construction of infrastructure in fields such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence, which opens up information channels for high-quality economic development. Digital empowerment has continued to release surging momentum at all levels, including enterprises, industries, and regions. All those achievements have been exhibited at the event.
