New AI capability helps warehouse teams understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what should happen next.

ORLANDO, Fla., 13 October 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- IFS Unleashed - IFS, the leading provider of Industrial AI software, today introduced Fulfillment Flow from IFS Softeon, a new AI capability designed to bring context-aware intelligence directly into warehouse fulfillment operations.

Fulfillment Flow is the latest innovation, which is designed to move AI from isolated tools to intelligence embedded throughout warehouse operations. By combining real-time operational context with AI-driven decisioning, IFS Softeon solutions enable warehouses to move beyond static rules and reactive analytics toward more adaptive, continuously optimized operations.

"Fulfillment Flow brings AI directly into the flow of warehouse operations, where decisions are being made every day," said Mark Fralick, CTO, IFS Softeon. "By connecting AI with the real-time context of the warehouse, we can help teams move from identifying an issue to understanding what is driving it and determining how to respond. This is an important step toward making AI a more active part of warehouse execution."

Modern fulfillment operations generate enormous amounts of data across orders, inventory, labor, equipment, automation and warehouse processes. The challenge is turning that information into timely decisions that can improve execution. Too often, AI adds to the problem by optimizing one area of the warehouse, such as replenishment or wave planning, at the expense of the rest of the operation.

Fulfillment Flow is designed to address that challenge by bringing context-aware intelligence into the flow of fulfillment. Rather than piecing together information across multiple screens or static reports, users can ask questions in natural language, see the factors driving an issue and get next-best-action recommendations based on current conditions.

At the heart of Fulfillment Flow are digital workers, AI agents that focus on one area of the operation: inbound, wave management, labor, automation, slotting and replenishment, and outbound. Each is built on the same six intelligence pillars, covering the facility itself, live operations, adjacencies between areas, site goals such as cutoffs and service levels, available associates and automation.

Rather than working in isolation, the digital workers share what they see with a central operational agent dedicated to creating efficient flow across the entire facility. Where traditional warehouse AI tends to optimize one area at the cost of another, Fulfillment Flow considers how each decision affects everything around it, including adjacencies such as receiving yards and manufacturing line feeds.

Fulfillment Flow is also built around a human-in-the-loop approach to decision-making. The digital workers operate like experienced area supervisors, escalating observations and ideas to the central operational agent. That agent acts as a partner to the warehouse manager, suggesting how the operation should respond, while the manager sets priorities and makes the final decision. Fulfillment Flow follows those decisions and continues to learn across shifts.

"Warehouse AI needs context," said Mark Fralick. "A generic AI system may be able to tell you that orders are behind schedule, but the real value comes from understanding what is driving that situation, what other operational factors are involved, and what can be done about it. The warehouse manager stays in control. That's what builds the trust AI needs to actually work on the floor. That is the direction we're taking: intelligence that is grounded in the warehouse and designed to help people make better decisions."
