Building on this, Novira is expanding its turnkey reusable packaging programmes, reducing single-use waste and lowering operating costs for food-service operators. Its platform uses durable reusable containers and tracks how much of each item is consumed and when containers are returned, making operations simpler and more efficient. AI-powered analytics then provide insights on waste patterns, container usage, and food production, helping operators make smarter decisions.

Novira works with major contract caterers and venue operators to transition sites from disposable packaging to reusable service models without upfront capital barriers. As part of its managed service model, Novira takes on the capital expenditure required for reusable infrastructure, removing financial risk and ensuring zero barriers to entry for operators looking to move away from single-use systems. Programmes typically deliver significant reductions in packaging and food waste and can even lower total packaging and waste-management costs by up to 40% per site compared with conventional single-use systems.

The funding also supports expansion of Novira’s smart beverage platform, including its beer wall systems, through deeper partnerships with major breweries and venue operators. The company’s next phase will enable wider deployment of intelligent self-pour beer wall installations while fully integrating reusable cup systems across sites.

This approach lets venues enjoy the operational and revenue benefits of self-pour technology. It also avoids common customer issues, such as slow service, confusing self-pour systems, or managing reusable cups, as well as the environmental drawbacks often seen with traditional self-pour or reusable setups.
