Rewards card startup opens up points earning to the UK's largest household outgoing, as Premium tier is repriced around expanded travel benefits

London, 22nd September 2026: Yonder, the premium rewards card provider, is extending its points infrastructure to cover rent and mortgage payments, one of the first moves by an established UK card issuer to bring recurring, non-discretionary rent and mortgage costs into a rewards programme. The feature, called Rent & Mortgage Rewards, rolls out across Yonder's free and Premium tiers, alongside a repricing of Premium around a new set of travel benefits.

Members simply add their rent or mortgage payment in the Yonder app; Yonder then pays it on their behalf each month, with points accruing automatically and no extra step required from the landlord or lender, and no handling or admin fee.

At launch, rent rewards can be earned by all renters who pay via standing order. Mortgage rewards can be earned with roughly 70% of UK mortgage providers, with the remainder expected by the end of 2026.

Unlocking non-discretionary rewards

Extending rewards to non-discretionary spend is a departure from the discretionary lifestyle categories that rewards programmes have traditionally targeted. Capturing a household's largest, most predictable payment gives the startup a recurring engagement point that disposable income alone can’t provide.

Yonder’s new feature lands amid broader UK fintech interest in rewarding rent, with other startups launching competing products over the last few months. Yonder's differentiation is combining rent rewards with mortgage coverage from an already FCA-regulated issuer, not a newer single-purpose entrant.

Yonder’s Premium tier expands

Alongside Rent & Mortgage Rewards, Yonder is also relaunching its Premium membership with an enhanced set of travel benefits to further appeal to its target market of travellers. Premium members will now receive £140 in credit each year to be spent on Hertz car hire, hotel bookings and No.1 airport lounges, in addition to the current benefits already included.

To reflect the new benefits, the Premium membership fee will rise from £15 to £17.99 a month for new members - or £190 if paid annually - with existing Premium members moving later this year.

Rent and mortgage payments have sat outside the established card economy almost entirely, and we think that's a gap worth closing; not just for our members, but to push the boundaries of what a modern financial membership model can look like."

Yonder has processed over £1bn of consumer spend since launching in 2022, with members having redeemed more than £9m to date rewards across 300+ partners. The startup is doubling its revenue YoY, having more than tripled its member base in the last 18 months.
