Monday 18 May 2026: Today, Arnott’s Shapes has announced the highly anticipated arrival of one of Australia’s favourite, and most-loved, snacks to the United Kingdom, with Aussies already queuing outside Waitrose stores. Arnott’s Shapes will be available across the UK in Waitrose, Morrison’s, and Ocado. With flavour you can see on oven-baked, not fried snack crackers, Brits can now enjoy and share the range of Australia’s favourite Shapes flavours* - Chicken, Barbecue and Pizza.

Arnott’s Shapes arrival to the UK comes as Britain’s appetite for international flavours has never been higher as new research reveals Brits are increasingly turning to global snacks to relive holidays, discover new cultures and bring more excitement to everyday snacking. With 86% of Brits enjoy eating snacks from other countries, and 73% saying they bring food back from holidays abroad, the over 9,000 miles between Australia and the UK is officially a much shorter trip with Arnott’s Shapes now in the cracker aisle in three moreish flavours.

• 18–34-year-olds are far more likely to describe themselves as “full-on snack explorers” when travelling, wanting to try everything local.

• Research found the UK’s favourite savoury snack flavours include BBQ (34%), Chicken (33%) and Pizza (26%) - aligning closely with Arnott’s Shapes most iconic varieties.

• Key occasions Brits snack the most include movie nights (53%), watching sports (30%), picnics (29%) and BBQs (23%) - positioning Arnott’s Shapes as the ideal sharing snack for summer gatherings and social occasions.

Key Australian research findings:

• A quarter (23%) of Australians say they would miss Shapes Barbecue if they were living overseas. This is followed by Shapes Pizza (19%) and Shapes Chicken (15%) and Shapes Cheese & Bacon (15%).

• A quarter (24%) of Australians say they are most likely to take Shapes Barbecue when they are travelling for friends and family overseas.

• A fifth (20%) of Australians say Shapes Pizza are the flavour of Shapes they would most likely share with friends and family from overseas. 16% say they would be sharing Shapes Chicken.

UK research methodology:

An online survey was commissioned by Arnott’s Shapes and conducted by Atomik Research among 2,000 respondents from across the UK, all of whom had been on at least one holiday abroad in the past. The research fieldwork took place on 7th May – 12th May 2026. Atomik Research is an independent creative market research agency that employs MRS-certified researchers and abides to MRS code.

Australian-specific research methodology:

The research was commissioned by The Arnott’s Group and was conducted by Lonergan Research in accordance with the ISO 20252 standard. Lonergan Research surveyed 1,040 Australian 18+ years old and 1,035 People from the UK aged 18+. Surveys were distributed throughout Australia including both capital city and non-capital city areas. The survey was conducted online amongst members of a permission-based panel, between 26 February 2026 to 11 March 2026. After interviewing, data was weighted to the latest population estimates sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the ONS, NRS, and NISRA.
