One in five British travellers are paying more for luxury holidays, despite the cost of living crisis, so that they can capture better content while away, according to new research this summer by leading photo printing company, CEWE.

Whether it’s posing in front of the Eiffel Tower or capturing the beauty of the Colosseum, famous sites remain must-have backdrops for holiday albums, with 45% of Brits putting capturing iconic landmarks at the top of their travel agendas.

The survey also found that sun, sea, and sand inspire holidaymakers to capture more memories, more than any other type of holiday, with 40% of Brits revealing they take the most photos on beach holidays.

While 67% of holidaymakers still rely on their smartphones for capturing photos, the study reveals that tech-savvy travellers are taking it one step further. Nearly a quarter (23%) of Brits have invested in equipment such as tripods, GoPros and drones to capture unique, high-quality content during trips.

CEWE believes that printing holiday photos is essential to preserving those travel memories, ensuring they are cherished long after the trip ends.
